The Daily Mail tells us there is a super-volcano beneath the Yellowstone National Park, in Wyoming, and it’s just bursting to erupt because it hasn’t let off steam in 600,000 years. The Mail reckons an eruption is due because scientists are getting concerned and 600,000 is a long time to go without a furious outburst – and the Mail should know. But what do the scientists say?
. . . hampered by a lack of data they have stopped short of an all-out warning and they are unable to put a date on when the next disaster might take place.
Thank you. Do we need to read further?
